Meet the CW's New Green Arrow

CW picked their new Green Arrow for the 'Arrow' series; it's Stephen Amell.
In the Warner Bros TV-produced project, described as a modern retelling of the story of DC Comics character Green Arrow, he will play the vigilante superhero who fights crime using archery, martial arts and technology under his secret identity as Oliver Queen, a wealthy playboy and billionaire industrialist-turned-outspoken politician in Star City.
So are they trying do a Dark Knight version of Green Arrow? I guess so.

Green Lantern on the WB has been a Batman wanna be since they brought him onto Smallville. They couldn't outright do a Batman character, so they shoe-horned Ollie in to the playboy, secret identity, gadget using counter part to Superman's boy scout.

I'd rather skip this series all together, if its just going to be another drama, with pretty, young white people who sometimes have powers- especially if its written as terribly as Smallville was

Whoa, that's that hunk from the last season of Hung on HBO. Damn... looks like I'll have a guilty pleasure! I hope the Green Arrow Outfit is very tight!
