Kickstarter Trailer: WONDER WOMEN! The Untold Story of American Superheroines

Here's an interesting documentary about the power and influence of Wonder Woman and the birth of female superhero.
WONDER WOMEN! THE UNTOLD STORY OF AMERICAN SUPERHEROINES traces the fascinating evolution and legacy of Wonder Woman. From the birth of the comic book superheroine in the 1940s, to the blockbusters of today, WONDER WOMEN! looks at how popular representations of powerful women often reflect society’s anxieties about women’s liberation.

To date we've interviewed many articulate and dynamic women such as activists Gloria Steinem and Shelby Knox, actresses Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman) and Lindsay Wagner (The Bionic Woman), and punk rock star Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill & Le Tigre), as well as many others who offer an enlightening and entertaining counterpoint to the male-dominated superhero genre.

WONDER WOMEN! introduces audiences to a cast of fictional and real life superheroines fighting for positive role models for girls, both on screen and off, and reminds us of our common human need for stories that tell us we can all be heroes.

Back in the day there were a tribe of women called womans. I looked it up.
