"Gay is not Okay" Church Sign causes a Facebook Backlash

I got some foolishness to tell y'all about. In Des Moines, Iowa, Rev. Michael Demastus of Fort Des Moines Church of Christ wanted to talk about the gays in a sermon. So to strum up some interest, he put this mess up on his marquee: “Gay is not Okay.”

Then, a gay man saw this and took a picture of the marquee. He placed it on Facebook and it cause a storm of comments. Now, this incident has a Facebook page called,  “People against the bigots at Fort Des Moines Church of Christ.”

Later on, Rev. Demastus took the message down. Maybe next time, he will think before he put up an anti-gay message on the marquee.

Most likely he won't. Think about it that is. If these people, actually had anything resembling a thought running around their heads, it wouldn't be an issue at all. :\

I thought the message was: "Let those without sin cast the first stone."

It's so telling when these idiotic churches just say fuck it to all that Love Thy Neighbor bullshit and judy focus on stuff they personally don't like. It's even sadder that they still have a congregation after these kind of shenanigans.

Religious people are stupid as.

I didn't know that Christ was about hate. Its not all Christians is just the dumb ones who hate themselves and just want to show hate of something they don't understand.

Maybe the pastor was just trying to get some attention, like:

DON'T READ THIS SIGN

GOD LOVES WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO YOUR HAIR

DON'T ATTEND MY DUMB CHURCH

I'M OKAY, YOU'RE SO GAAAAYYY!!
